AGM Voting Details
Submitted By Amy Bickmore on Wed 05 11, 22
The Executive Committee of Otonabee Minor Hockey wanted to provide a brief update ahead of our AGM next Wednesday.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who registered to attend.

The Executive made the decision to pay for an outside service to administer and oversee the online election process.  This platform will record and tally all the votes received and provide a final document that can be presented at the AGM. The platform being used is Election Buddy and the email with your personalized link will come from Otonabee Minor Hockey and the sending address is [email protected]

To ensure that all eligible voters can cast their ballot, the voting link will be available from Friday, May 13th at 6:00pm until Sunday, May 15th at 6:00pm.  Once the polls close, the results will be sent to the Executive for review and the results will be shared during the AGM in place of actual voting.  This will alleviate concerns of stable internet connections or competing priorities on the night of the AGM, as you will no longer be required to attend the AGM to cast your vote.

It is important to note, that as per the constitution (Section C.4.1 Only one vote per family unit will be allowed.), only ONE VOTE is permitted per household/family, which is inclusive of split households.  In the instances where more than one household member registered for the AGM, the voting delegate was decided based on the timestamps on the AGM registration form.

- Please ensure your nominations are correct before you choose "submit".
- Once you have submitted your choices, there is no option to change your selections.
- Voting links and codes will not be reissued, regardless of scenario.
- You must select 10 choices, one of each position!
