Our Novice Wolves started the day off strong against Douro battling hard until the end.

First time goalie Ben Davis took the position between the posts and played a stellar game.
The final score ended as 5-3 for Douro, with goal 4 being scored on an empty net with 1:45 remaining in the 3rd and goal 5 in the last minute of play.

The kids fought hard and gave it their all.
It was a very well played game.

Game 2 had the team matched up to play against Baltimore.
The kids came out with the first goal of the game, but Baltimore showed their consistency from our earlier match up at home and we lost 10 - 1.

That put the Novice Wolves in the C Championship game against Coldwater.
And what a game it was...

Our Wolves came out strong in the first period with 2 goals, which were answered by Coldwater in the second period, leaving the score tied at 2 entering the 3rd period.

The kids played hard and were strong on defence.
Ben Davis performed exceptionally in goal keeping us in the game.
Coldwater scored a 3rd goal with just over 3 minutes left to play in the third, giving them the lead of 3-2.

Our Wolves dug deep and Colby Wood scored an unassisted goal only a few seconds after Coldwater's, tying the game 3-3.

The next 3 minutes of play were nail biting for anyone in stands.

Ben Davis stopped some great shots on net.

Ricky Bevan, Grayden Clark, Madeline Wannamaker and Colby Wood were strong on defense with some great board use to get the puck out of our end and strong on the blue line when trying to keep it in Coldwater's end.

Nolan Mason, Jacob McMahon, Autumn Fertile, Koby Graham, Joe Davis, Kaden Beasley, Keith Ridyard, Landon Blackbourn and Nick Thomson pushed to keep the puck in Coldwater's end and fought a hard fight in the neutral zone.

Just when it looked like the game was going to end in a tie and head for overtime, Colby Wood scored with 0.16 left on clock and the team held on for the next 16 seconds to win the C Championship 4-3!

Loud cheers were heard from the stands.

    Congratulations Wolves!
